I’m in my late-30s, with a successful career in PR. I’m also a high-functioning alcoholic , something I’ve only recently felt able to tackle. No one in my team knows, though some likely have suspicions, as while I’ve never been blackout drunk in front of them, there have been work events where I’ve gone too far.



I’m finding it a big burden to carry, and as I’m now dealing with it by going to therapy and Alcoholics Anonymous , being transparent with my colleagues could be beneficial to me and my team, but I’m concerned it’s not professional.
