A GARDEN expert has revealed a 12p hack to make sure your BBQ is sparkling in time for Summer. Fortunately, home & garden furniture experts, VonHaus have shared a list of cheap hacks that will have your BBQ sparkling in no time. The onion trick One simple hack to clean your BBQ, is to use an onion. Liam Glennon, senior outdoor leisure buyer at VonHaus said: “Lightly turn up the temperature and attach half an onion to a fork to create a makeshift handle.



"Rub gently over the hot grill so the onion's water naturally leaks across the BBQ—its antibacterial properties will remove any impurities. “What’s more, unlike many chemical-laden cleaners, it’s safe for food preparation. At 12p a pop, cleaning hacks don’t come much quicker than this.

” Bathe your BBQ in beer As well as being a great accompaniment to a hot dog or burger, beet can also help to clean your BBQ. Its natural acidity helps to cut through grease and its carbonisation dislodges food particles.
