Sometimes I wonder, when I come out of Sainsbury's with an arm full of leopard print clothes that perfectly match my personal style, whether the fashion buyer over there at the supermarket is Bet Lynch herself. So when I heard that the TU sale was on, I popped in to the Selly Oak branch to browse. I'm a plus-size girl but I've always found it easy to find my size in Sainsbury's.

I used to be an Asda George shopper to get cool, quirky supermarket garms in my youth, but these days, I find TU to have the right mix of fun prints, stylish silhouettes and really good prices. In store, I was really impressed with just how much choice there was. Bright pinks and reds seem to be the colour scheme for summer and it was fun going through the racks to find pieces that would brighten my largely black wardrobe up for the new season.

I normally stick to the first few aisles of clothes, because beyond that, I mistakenly thought, are kids clothes and boring graphic T-shirts for dads. But as I wandered past the changing room, I found new departments that I had no idea were back there.

It felt like Debenhams! Seeing a whole section for SimplyBe gave me a boost, given how great they usually are for us plus-size ladies. They had loads of fun pieces for 25% off, including a lovely de.
