When is it too late to change your baby's name? A woman recently took to Reddit to ask this very question. She shared that she had given birth to her son a few months prior and was already regretting the name she and her boyfriend had chosen. Her boyfriend, Emmett, was thrilled when he found out she was pregnant .
He had always wanted to be a father, and the couple had been together for five years. 'I'm my best friend's maid of honor, I found out my ex dumped me because of her' 'I took my neighbor's dog to the pound - she doesn't take care of him' They began brainstorming names for their baby, with Emmett keen on choosing a name that had familial significance. She wrote: "He began to list names that belonged to grandpa and great-grandpa, Oliver and Chad.
" "I HATE the Name Chad, we know a couple of Chads, they are not great people. I also don't love the name Oliver but I'd rather that than Chad." She pointed out that Emmett is incredibly sentimental, especially when it comes to his family.
She, on the other hand, isn't as sentimental. Emmett was insistent on the name Chad, in honor of his grandfather who died in a war. Not wanting to hurt his feelings, she suggested they use Chad as their son's middle name.
The discussion was put on hold until after the baby was born. Don't miss..
