"Worst cleaning 'tips' you’ve seen recently?" they asked. They also included some advice that could do more harm than good for the home. They pointed out issues in most parts of people's homes.



WHAT TO AVOID The Redditor outlined particularly bad cleaning advice they've heard. "Using toilet cleaner on anything other than a toilet, such as shower grout and acrylic tubs, especially when they let it sit for a long period of time," they said. "Guaranteed to ruin your finish.

"Using straight bleach. I saw a video where one woman used undiluted bleach in her trash to get rid of the smell.
