Howie Mandel might be a judge on America’s Got Talent , but fans aren’t agreeing with his critiques so far on Season 19–and are calling for him to leave the show as a result. Mandel is part of a judges’ panel that has been faced with criticism and possible change on the horizon , as the show continues reinventing itself in new ways. While Season 19’s reinvention came from an unexpected rule change by Simon Cowell , fans are seemingly hoping for one that sees Mandel off the panel in future seasons.

Mandel was the only one to say “no” when the band Ashes and Arrows took to the stage. The group sang their original song, Born To Love, for the judges and the crowd, and were clearly able to impress many, earning some standing ovations.
However, when Howie was able to share his opinion, he shocked and stunned everyone–and got booed–because he compared the group’s performance to one he’d prefer to see at a bar–and not in an arena. “The audience loves you, you have great voices, great harmony, but personally,” he said before he was cut off by the boos. “This was a great song in a pub.
If I was in a bar and you guys are playing, I would have the best night ever,” he contin.
