How to get Gargantua Hide in Final Fantasy XIV (FFXIV)

More specifically, Leatherworkers can craft Gargantua Leather out of Gargantua Hide, making it an extremely valuable resource. Here are the three ways to get Gargantua Hide:Farm it by killing Gargantua creatures in Living Memory.Trade 3 Bicolor Gemstones acquired from completing Shared FATEs.Chance to obtain via Hunting (Level 100) Retainer Ventures.Best Gargantua Hide farming location in FFXIVThe best place to farm Gargantua Hide is by defeating the Level 99 Gargantua monsters found in the eastern Opal Springs area of Asyle Volcane in the Living Memory zone. This is the final zone you will unlock as part of the MSQ. If you look at the map above, the easiest way to get to the Gargantua Hide farming location is by teleporting to the Leynode Pyro Aether Current and then heading slightly southeast to the eastern region of the island you are on. You will see plenty of the big reddish-orangeish Gargantua roaming around. A good place to start is around the coordinates X: 36.8, Y: 18.6.Killing these Garganatua has about a 20%-25% chance of dropping anywhere from 1-5 Gargantua Hides, making it the best way to reliably farm the material.Get Gargantua Hide via Bicolor Gemstones and Shared FATEsIf farming materials via killing mobs isn't your cup of tea, or you simply prefer to run Shared FATEs instead, you do have another alternative. At 670 Item Level, your Retainer will bring back 5 Gargantua Hides. At 715 Item Level, your Retainer will gain triple that amount with 15 Gargantua Hides.Once you have accumulated enough Gargantua Hide, a Leatherworker can craft it into Gargantua Leather.
