High Plains Chautauqua will take place at four locations in Greeley early next month. The annual event, described as a unique combination of theater and history, is scheduled for Aug. 5-9 at Aims Community College on 20th Street, Greeley History Museum, 714 8th St.
, LINC Library Innovation Center, 501 8th Ave., and Cottonwood Park, on the northwest corner of the park at 26th Avenue and 26th Avenue Court. This year’s theme is “Game Changers,” which will feature portrayals of notable Americans who have shaken up their chosen field.
Among those: researcher Dr. Florence Sabin, labor union activist Mother Jones and women’s baseball pioneer Maud Nelson. For more information on High Plains Chautauqua, go to coloradohumanities.
