Currently, Helldivers 2 is split between two factions, the Automatons and the Terminids. Ever since its launch, the Terminids have been the preferred enemy type for most players. This has often resulted in Automaton-focused Major Orders being failed due to not enough playing jumping into the missions, this is frustrating when it comes to potentially unlocking new Stratagems.

Constant explosions, constantly being thrown somewhere.” Ragdolling is extremely common, and frustrating, in Automaton missions due to the amount of missiles and grenades you have to try and dodge.

But, I do think there are many more issues with Automaton missions, despite these being what I almost exclusively play outside of Major Order missions. responded with their own list of issues for Automaton missions saying, It is a shame that the majority of players prefer the Automatons, but hopefully, this will change in the future. One of the reasons why players may not enjoy facing the Automatons as much is that they are facing them with a loadout built for the Terminids.
