RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — Legendary singer and songwriter and head “outlaw” Willie Nelson will miss the start of this year’s Outlaw Music Festival Tour, including Sunday’s date in Raleigh.

According to a on Nelson’s official Facebook page, the 91-year-old has not been feeling well and “per doctor’s orders, has been advised to rest for the next four days.” The , which is hosted by Nelson, kicked off Friday in Alpharetta, Georgia. It is scheduled to be at PNC Music Pavilion in Charlotte Saturday and at Coastal Credit Union Music Park at Walnut Creek in Raleigh on Sunday.



The post said Nelson is “expected to make a quick recovery and join the Outlaw Music Festival tour next week.” Following the Raleigh stop, the tour has a few days off before playing in Virginia Beach on June 26. Other guests, including the “family” part of the “Willie Nelson and Family” act, will still be performing all the dates.

“In the meantime, Lukas Nelson and the Family Band, along with a few guests, will perform a special set to include Willie’s classics and other songs,” the post concluded. “Bob Dylan, Robert Plant and Alison Krauss and Celisse will continue to perform as scheduled.” Tickets are still available for .
