Back in April, Gurucharan Singh, an integral part of the cast of , left his house in New Delhi with no intention of ever returning. While his disappearance caused widespread concern, the actor resurfaced after 26 days. Once back, Singh said he had embarked on a spiritual journey.
Now, days after his return, Singh spoke to Bombay Times about what really transpired during his disappearance, claiming that he had no plans of returning. Singh said he has always been a spiritual person and felt ‘low’ before deciding that he will devote himself to God. He revealed that he went on a spiritual journey without any plans of returning, but later decided to resurface as God gave him a sign.
Speaking of the same, Singh saID, “I have always been spiritual because of my parents and, at this point in life, when I was feeling low, I turned towards God. I went on a spiritual journey and had no plans of coming back. But God gave me a sign and that made me return home.
” Singh also responded to those who called his disappearance a publicity stunt, saying if he wanted publicity, he would have given interviews talking about his pending dues from or taken to social media to raise the issue. Singh pointed out that he didn’t give any interviews after his return, deciding to speak only because he wanted to clear some misconceptions.
