The sequel to the first Greedfall game is beginning its life in Early Access on Steam. With the Greedfall 2 early access release window locked in, we don’t have long to wait before we can jump into this stylish fantasy adventure. The sequel was originally announced in 2022, and now we have seen previews and gameplay showing what we can expect.
The Greedfall 2 The Dying World Early Access release window is summer, 2024. At the time of writing, there is no fixed release date for the game. Since the , this means it won’t be the complete version.
More updates will be added until the game is ready to launch properly, but Early Access lets us all play while it is still being developed. The developers have been fairly tight-lipped about it, but we can expect to see something very soon, especially with a shown during Nacon Connect and various . For what it’s worth, we were more than impressed in our preview of the game.
Greedfall 2 is chronologically a prequel to the first game. Taking place three years before the events of Greedfall, you’ll play as a native to of Teer Fradee, who is essentially taken from their island and sold into slavery. In this old world of Gacane, you will see the remnants of war, the Malichor plague, and the political machinations of various factions vying for power.
