Restaurant critic Grace Dent has broken her silence on the intense social media reaction to her quitting ITV's I'm a Celeb on medical grounds. The journalist was one of a host of famous faces who entered the jungle in November last year, along with politician Nigel Farage , musician Jamie Lynn Spears and eventual winner Sam Thompson . However, fans quickly raised concerns for the MasterChef star's health in the jungle.

The 50-year-old eventually left the camp, with ITV announcing she was exiting the reality show early on medical grounds. A statement issued by ITV previously said: "Unfortunately Grace Dent has left the show on medical grounds. She has been a great campmate and will be missed by her fellow celebrities and viewers alike.



" The restaurant critic has now opened up on her time in the jungle and the reaction to her exit. Speaking on the Glad We Had This Chat podcast with Caroline Hirons this week, she said she had a "baptism of fire " with regards to social media after quitting. She said: "I was in the jungle before Christmas and that was massive.
