Kate, 56, returned to our screens once again on Friday (June 7) to present the morning show, alongside guest host Robert Rinder. She flew back to the UK to be back in the studio after she had presented the show on Thursday (June 6) from the beaches of Normandy for D-Day commemorations.

As per usual on the show, Kate and Robert ran through the main stories of the day that had been hitting headlines, before passing the rest of the day's news to bulletin reader . However, as she threw the attention back to Robert and Kate - the show's tech decided not to play ball. Hawkins, 49, had finished her news bulletin and handed the show back to Rinder and Garraway, who had been joking about reporter Jonathan Swain, who had been giving a report in Edinburgh.



However, some technical issues meant that he was left on-screen for much longer than usual as producers scrambled to find the right camera. Taking the technical mishap in their stride, presenters Rob and Kate were quick to keep viewers in check on what had been happening. The pair then gave a glimpse of what was coming up, including a debate on hiding from children for peace and quiet.

"Go on, admit it - have you ever hidden from your children for a moment of peace and quiet?" Kate asked. "I find actually that my children tend to hide from me, you know?" she added, joking and laughing as she made the admission. She then said: "Let's hear what Kim Kardashia.
