Coldplay made a strong political statement as they headlined Glastonbury Festival tonight. The band - fronted by Chris Martin - are breaking records tonight with their fifth headline slot at the iconic musical festival live from Worthy Farm. As they performed some of their biggest tracks, they were joined on stage by a number of famous faces.

As they performed the track 'We Pray' from their unreleased album Moon Music, the band were joined on stage by LIttle Simz, whilst Burna Boy also featured on a video tape at the back of the stage. The group also chose to have Palestinian-Chilean vocalist Elyanna join them on stage for the special version of the song, which was loved by fans. The song features the poignant lyrics that "we pray that we make it til the end of the day", and with their choice of guest stars, it appears the band are sending a strong political message amid the Israel and Palestine conflict.

Later in their set, Chris thanked everyone who had attended the show - and said it was important they could show a "beacon of togetherness" in a time where it seemed impossible. He said people could send their love "all over the world " and that included to both Israel and Palestine as well as places like Ukraine - and other places affected by conflict. The release of their upcoming album will be their last, according to the frontman.

He said back in 2021: "Our last proper record will come out in 2025, and after that I think we will only tour. And maybe we'll do some collabo.
