Former Geordie Shore cast member Aaron Chalmers ' ex-partner Talia Oatway has shared an update this week on their son Oakley following his recent hospitalisation . Aaron, now 37, and Talia, now 32, welcomed Oakley, now one, who is the youngest of their three children together, in 2022. It's since been shared that Oakley was born with Apert Syndrome.
Great Ormond Street Hospital states that the genetic condition can affect the skull, face, hands and feet. The former couple have shared updates on their son's health through Instagram , including Talia having announced last month that he would be having his ninth operation. She later stated that there were "complications" though.
Talia told her followers recently that they included Oakley getting an infection and experiencing sepsis shock. She added that he ended up in an induced coma for almost a week and described him as the "strongest little boy" . She has since posted an update on the platform, with her sharing on Friday that they had "finally" returned home.
She wrote about the experience alongside a photo of herself cradling Oakley, seemingly been taken whilst in hospital. Talia wrote: "After nearly 6 weeks of being in Liverpool, we are finally home. It has been the most difficult time of our lives, Oakley has been through so so much.
I want to thank the Craniofacial Team at [Alder Hey Children's Hospital]. "We have a great team behind us who not only supported Oakley through numerous surgeries, but also emotional support f.
