Adding Fortnite Reload Duos was certainly a great move by Epic Games. Considering that many players enjoy smaller team sizes, the playlist immediately became a hit. However, the game developer also released a couple of major changes to this mode, making it even more chaotic.



Not only was the reboot timer shortened at the release, but Epic made even more changes later on. Despite only being a different playlist, . It has an even faster pace than the Squads playlist due to a lower reboot timer.

On top of it, it is now possible to reboot almost instantly, which is a game-changer. When the new game mode just came out, it was only available in the Squads playlist. In Squads, the reboot timer starts at 30 seconds and goes all the way to 40 later in the match.

The reboot timer was reduced all the way down to 12 seconds in the Duos playlist when it just came out, but Epic Games felt like it needed another change. On Thursday night, the developer released another gameplay tweak, which turned out to be a game-changer. Instead of 12 seconds, the timer now starts only at six, making reboots much faster than before.
