Scores of music fans erupted into a rendition of the national anthem as the band stood onstage. Keyboardist Rami Jaffee appeared to sing along and looked amazed by the sound coming from the audience. Frontman Dave Grohl even got into the spirit of things as he swigged a bottle of Buckfast while on stage.

Grohl joked about how Buckfast got him into a bit of bother the last time he was in Scotland. He posed with the drink while north of the border but hadn't actually tried it, which an agent in Los Angeles gave him grief for it.
