Experts have urged travellers to avoid wearing heels while boarding a flight. This is because wearing heels makes it very difficult to run quickly across the plane's cabin during - and can cause delays during emergency evacuations. Amy Caris, flight attendant and director of in-flight for JSX, told Reader's Digest : "I always look at what kind of shoes a customer is wearing to determine whether they can run quickly and easily in them.



" "If I see someone wearing high heels during boarding, I can make a note to add in an emergency command about removing them if the need arises." Flight attendants have also shared the importance of covering your feet while flying at 40,000ft. The cabin's floor is often dirty - especially around the lavatory area - and passengers are always encouraged to cover their feet with proper footwear to avoid the spread of germs and diseases.
