HUGH Grant looks to be taking on his most sinister role yet in a brand new horror movie. Titled Heretic, the film comes from the same team behind the runaway hit horror franchise A Quiet Place . Writers Scott Beck and Bryan Woods developed the movie following their success in the horror genre.

The first trailer for the eerie flick has now given fans a first chance to see Hugh in action. The plot of the film follows the story of two Mormon missionaries who try to convince a peculiar man to join them in their beliefs. Hugh will play the antagonist in the psychological film but it becomes quite clear that he has a more sinister side to him lurking beneath.



As the two young girls, played by actresses Chloe East and Sophie Thatcher, find themselves heading inside Hugh's character, Mr. Reed's home, he soon traps them in. They will be kept in his house against their will as they become part of a creepy cat-and-mouse game with Mr.

Reed. Tying into the plot surrounding their faith, Mr. Reed can be heard saying: "I won't keep you, if you choose to leave.

But I want you to choose which door to go through based on your faith." No other cast members or plot details have been revealed as of yet with audiences set to be in for a rather scary surprise when the film launches. It is currently scheduled to be released Stateside on November 15 with a UK release date following a week later.

The role is worlds away from Hugh's various different previous roles with the actor having rarely stepped i.
