The five-year-old was left critically injured during the attack. The family of the young girl who was critically injured in last November’s Parnell Square attack have issued an update six months on. The child’s family have been sharing regular updates on a GoFundMe which was established in the days following the attack.

Marking six months from the horrific attack, they wrote: “Today is the 6-month mark. We choose to say it is a 6-month anniversary of our rebirth. Our little star has been thriving in her therapies.



“She is on full feeds via her tummy, moving her limbs quite well and purposefully, making choices and answering questions. Her cognition is there, for sure. “Thank you all so much for the lovely messages, support, love and prayers sent our way.

Huge achievements.” At the beginning of the year, the young girl’s family confirmed she had entered the third stage of her recovery. The family said that this would be the longest stage of her recovery as she needs to relearn everything due to the injuries she suffered.
