Emraan Hashmi, known for his memorable roles in Bollywood, is currently busy promoting the new season of his series, Showtime. However, it appears that even seasoned actors have their moments of discomfort, especially when it comes to revisiting their earlier works. During the latest episode of Mashable Mehfil, Emraan was shown a clip from the iconic song Kaho Na Kaho from his film Murder, and his reaction was nothing short of priceless.

As the clip played, Emraan cringed and exclaimed, "I can't see this. I cringe, I'm sorry but I cringe." The actor then elaborated on his reaction, saying, "I'm very critical of myself and some of my past performances I just can't watch.

I tried to watch it but I just started to wander off. I'm very uncomfortable watching myself. As your experience increases, you start becoming critical of your past performances.

Especially the type of movies that we used to make back then, they were always over the top." Emraan's reflections on his past work highlight how much the film industry—and his own career—has evolved. The early 2000s Bollywood was a different beast altogether, with its penchant for melodrama and flamboyant performances.

It’s no wonder that looking back can sometimes feel like a trip down the ‘cringe’ lane..
