A hard-working employee has threatened to quit after he discovered he was getting all the unwanted night shifts because his manager thought he would “complain the least” out of the team. Ben Askins , a managing director from London , has been creating a series on social media where he calls out “toxic” bosses for their “ridiculous” decisions and company policies. The worker decided to text his boss to talk about the roster after noticing the rest of his colleagues weren’t getting any late shifts. “Hi, just a quick question, I seemed to have been put on the late shift for every single night this week?” the employee said in his text.
The manager replied, “Yeah sorry about that, I know no one wants to do that shift and I knew you would complain the least if I gave them to you.” Stunned, the employee responded: “That doesn’t make sense? Can’t we just split the last shifts between the three of us like usual?” However, his boss replied: “Last time I put Jamie on the late shift he just complained so much. Honestly I can’t be bothered to deal with that.
” The employee then asked, “So I’m being punished because I don’t complain as much?” to which the manage.
