Emma Stone isn't actually the real name of the Hollywood actress. The 35-year-old smiled brightly when a reporter referred to her by her birth name, Emily, during a Cannes Film Festival press conference on Saturday for her upcoming movie Kinds of Kindness. "That's my name," the actress excitedly told director Yorgos Lanthimos after the name reference.

Emma revealed to Hollywood Reporter in April she initially changed her name professionally to Emma because another actress already used Emily Stone. "It's just because my name was taken [by another actress in SAG].

Then I freaked out a couple of years ago...

I would like to be Emily." Kinds of Kindness marks Emma's fifth film with Lanthimos after her Oscar-winning role in last year's Poor Things. At the conference, Emma said she has an "extreme comfort" working with Lanthimos now.

"I feel like I can do anything with him, because we've worked together so many times. I trust him beyond the trust I've ever had with any director." DON'T MISS.
