The 55 year old actor, who's been a fixture on the show as Ian Beale since its inception in 1985 , has seen his fair share of drama both on and off-screen. With over 3,000 episodes under his belt, he's not only the longest-serving member of the EastEnders family but also a beloved character among viewers.

Adam took a break from the soap in 2021 and during that time, he embarked on an incredible weight loss journey, losing three stone. Speaking about his secret to success, he shared: "Basically I gave up alcohol. That was the biggest change I made.

" He continued, explaining the positive snowball effect his decision had: "With giving up alcohol, the weight drops off and because the weight dropped it was easier to cycle. So it was easier to stay fit. But at this point in my life, yeah, I'm quite happy not drinking.

And the result is I've lost about three stone in weight." Previously, on The Nightcap podcast, Adam delved into the health scare that prompted his lifestyle change.
