Eamonn Holmes is reportedly ‘showering gifts’ on a relationship counsellor in the wake of his split from wife Ruth Langsford . Last weekend it was announced that the former This Morning stars had split after 14 years of marriage , and more than 20 years together . A spokesperson for the couple said in a statement: ‘Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes have confirmed their marriage is over and they are in the process of divorcing.
’ It was claimed that work commitments had resulted in the TV star couple drifting in ‘different directions’ , but they were determined to ‘keep things amicable’. Since then, the former couple have each been seen both still wearing their wedding rings , while it’s also been reported they are ‘speaking every day’. But since the couple went their separate ways , the GB News presenter is now said to have grown close to a relationship counsellor whom he met several years ago and got closer to last year.
She is not said to be a reason for the marriage breakdown. The 64-year-old has been ‘on outings’ with the divorced woman in her 40s, also endorsing a charity linked to her work, helping to host a fundraising event free of charge. Eamonn has never mentioned her name on social media, and it is understood Ruth, also 64, was not aware of their liaisons until recently.
Sources say Eamonn treated his close friend to a Beyonce concert, a Center Parcs visit last year and tickets to see his favourite team, Man United, at Old Trafford. ‘Ruth .
