EASTENDERS fans have slammed a Walford pair for being as 'dull as dishwater'. The BBC soap has a large cast and as a consequence, features numerous storylines at any one time. In recent months, the Knight family has been at the forefront of things as they dealt with patriarch George finding out the truth about his birth parents and heritage.

As he struggled to come to terms with the information, and the subsequent revelation that his adoptive dad killed his birth father, George has confided in ex-wife, Cindy Beale. During one heart-to-heart, the former couple shared a kiss and recently, George's current partner Elaine Peacock found out and dumped him. Despite Cindy being in a relationship with her other ex-husband Ian Beale, she declared her love for George during Tuesday's episode.

Cindy told him: "I just lay awake at night George, I can’t sleep for thinking about what could have been. “I know you feel the same way. I see the way you look at me.

I love you. I still love you George. "Nothing’s changed for me, I just want to be with you.

All I think about is you.” But George turned her down, with Cindy leaving in tears, before romping with his son Junior in a shock twist. However, some EastEnders fans have been left unimpressed by their back and forth.

Writing on a soap fan forum, one said: "Anyone else find this plot dull as dishwater? " Boring, taking up too much screen time and no character development for Cindy she would of been better off staying dead. "Also what .
