One of the UK’s most eligible bachelors is tying the knot this week in what has been dubbed the society wedding of the year . Some 400 people have been invited to attend the ceremony between Hugh Grosvenor, the 7th Duke of Westminster, and Olivia Henson at Chester Cathedral. Known to his friends as 'Hughie', the 33-year-old is the richest Brit under 40, according to the Sunday Times Rich List , and has an estimated £10bn inherited wealth.

But it's not just the Duke's eye-watering fortune generating a buzz around the event, instead it's his longstanding links to the Royal Family . King Charles is godfather to the groom, with Hugh's father having been a confidante of the King before his passing in 2016. Hugh is also a godfather himself, both to Prince William 's heir and the future king, Prince George , and to Prince Harry 's son Archie.

While we're yet to find out exactly who will be there on the big day, here's a look at some of the big names we know will be there - and those who are missing the celebrations. A close friend of Hugh's, Prince William will be attending the ceremony and is expected to serve as an usher on the day. He played the same role at Hugh's oldest sister Lady Tamara Grosvenor's wedding to Edward van Cutsem in 2004.

Hugh Grosvenor's family ties to the royals date back decades, with his father having had a close relationship with King Charles. His mother, Natalia, is godmother to Prince William, and the late Princess Diana was godmother to Hugh's sister .
