: The Directorate of Revenue Intelligence-Hyderabad (DRI) arrested two persons for transporting 3.98 kg of gold worth `2.89 crore.
They were bringing the gold in a bus from Kolkata to the city. The gold was concealed in a cloth waistband worn by the two persons. : A lorry carrying tiles overturned at about 3 am on Sunday on the Outer Ring Road, injuring the the driver and the cleaner, Keesara police said.
Keesara circle inspector A. Venkataiah told Deccan Chronicle: “Since it was early morning, the driver was sleepy, due to which, he lost control and the lorry overturned.” On receiving information of the accident from other motorists, the police went to the spot and shifted the injured to Gandhi Hospital for treatment.
