THE autopsy on the body of Michael Mosley has reportedly shown the doctor may have taken a tragic final rest just a few yards away from the safety of a bar. The autopsy was completed today in Rhodes with initial findings indicating the doctor's time of death was around 4pm on the day he went missing . A report by a Greek coroner shows that from the position of his body, the doctor appears to have rested his hand on a wall before collapsing, police sources told The Sun.
Based on the body's position, the coroner also concluded that Dr Mosley sat down and lost consciousness before his death. The findings appear to go against initial claims that Dr Mosley suffered a heavy fall in Symi's 37C heat last Wednesday. The autopsy reportedly shows that Dr Mosley didn't seemingly sustain any injuries that indicate criminal activity.
The report concludes that the condition of the remains has made it difficult to establish the doctor's exact cause of death. It is believed the report contains the findings of an initial post-mortem investigation rather than the result of a full autopsy. Footage of Dr Mosley's final moments which is at the hands of the Greek police reveals the 67-year-old was walking at a slow pace through the mountain trying to reach the beach of Agia Marina.
The video purportedly shows the TV doc collapsing on the rocks - indicating he was probably exhausted. Dr Mosley's body was found on rocky ground on the Greek island of Symi after an extensive five-day search by drones, .
