AMERICAN rapper and singer Doja Cat is the newest celebrity whose Twitter (now called X) account has been hacked to advertise a Solana-based meme coin. Within minutes, she informed her 24 million Instagram followers that she was not responsible for the posts. Doja Cat’s account began tweeting about cryptocurrency on Monday.

The initial post also included a link to the holding address and also coaxed users to “buy $DOJA or else.” The hacker posted over 24 times. The hacker not only deleted Doja Cat’s profile photo, but also the description from her account, which has about 5.

6 million followers. Twitter users were quick to identify that the tweets were coming from a hacked account. The hacker also shared posts about other celebrities, which included Iggy Azalea, who reportedly supports crypto.

Azalea often tweets about her $MOTHER meme coin and Crypto Twitter. In response to Doja Cat’s hack, Azalea posted, “Get rugged if yall want, but I’m cool with that girl in real life so yall fucked up with that tweet, hackers” on X. According to Blockchain records and market data, the new $DOJA token, which is available on Solana market maker Raydium, had seen relatively low activity in comparison to previous incidents.

It recorded less than 15,000 transactions, which generated about $2.2 million in volume. This incident is the latest in a series of hacks which had targeted stars’ social accounts, typically those with tens of millions of followers, and promoting Solana-b.
