DOIREANN Garrihy's RTE replacement has been revealed as an icon's daughter has also nabbed a gig in a huge 2FM shake-up. RTE 2FM has announced their new summer schedule after Doireann, Jennifer Zamparelli and The 2 Johnnies all quit the station. The 32-year-old left 2FM Breakfast Show after five years working on the radio programme this morning .
Aifric O'Connell will now be joining 2FM Breakfast alongside Donncha O'Callaghan, Carl Mullan . She has been working in the station full time since 2017, where she covered for the late Larry Gogan, and then subsequently took over Weekend Breakfast. Aifric also worked as a researcher on The Dave Fanning Show.
She moved to the evening slot in late 2021, and has been a regular contributor on various shows, most recently on Drive it with the 2 Johnnies. The late legend Gerry Ryan's daughter Lottie Ryan and David O’Reilly will be replacing The 2 Johnnies, who are hosting their last drivetime show this evening. The pair will be on air Monday-Friday from 3-6pm on 2FM Drive with Lottie and David.
Lottie is a very familiar voice to listeners across 2FM, presenting the Entertainment News from Monday to Friday, as well as stepping in to present Breakfast Republic in 2018 and 2019. She also hosted Weekend Breakfast. David contributes across several of the daytime 2FM shows and presented on Bank Holiday Breakfast.
He has appeared in West End productions such as The Book of Mormon, Grease and Catherine Tate Live. David played the role of Bean in.
