An adorable dog who spent most of his time inside a kennel for three years and was due to be put to sleep is looking for his forever home after being rescued by a local dog rehoming centre. Elton, a 10-year-old mixed breed, has been living at Immingham Dogs Home on Habrough Road, South Killingholme since November last year, after founder Kelly Magee took him in from another animal rescue centre to give him a better quality of life. After previously only being walked "once a week", Elton is now enjoying walks twice a day and couldn't be happier.
He is looking for a quiet home with no children or other pets where he can be the centre of attention. He'd been there for three years and was never really walked, and spent most of his time in a kennel.
"When we took him in, we found that he actually started smiling. He's such a happy dog. When he first came here he couldn't walk for more than 20 minutes, now he can walk for hours.
