Doctor Who has made history after featuring a same-sex kiss between Ncuti Gatwa and Jonathan Groff and fans were delighted. Episode six of the series took on a historical theme as it threw Doctor Who back to the date of 1813, along with his side-kick Ruby, played by Millie Gibson . During a ball held in Bath, the pair come across a bounty hunter named Rogue, played by Jonathan, as they tried to find the Chuldurs, who are murdering guests.
Both the Doctor and Rogue accuse each other of being the culprit after realising neither are from the era or Earth. Once their differences were resolved, the duo worked together to find the Chuldur and it's at this point they start to flirt with one another - and shock guests with same-sex ballroom dancing. Their plan sees Rogue get down on one knee to propose to the Doctor as he said: "Tell me what your heart wants, or I shall turn my back on you forever.
" Moments later, all three involved learn that they were not just searching for one killer but a family of Chuldurs - but this is sadly realised when it's too late for Ruby. The last scene sees the Doctor in tears as he struggles with the notion of sacrificing Ruby to save the world . In the end, Rogue steps in to save Ruby but not before leaning in to kiss the Doctor, in what has now become an historical moment for the iconic TV show.
Soon after the episode ended, fans rushed to social media to pen their thoughts. Writing on X, one fan said: "Rogue, the subject of the episode's title, deli.
