Finally, on June 21, a new episode of Doctor Who titled “Empire of Death” arrives on Disney Plus. The newest Doctor Who series stars Sex Education alum Ncuti Gatwa in the role of the Fifteenth Doctor and Millie Gibson as Ruby Sunday, his companion. The Doctor and Sunday go on a number of adventures spanning different time periods.
Other releases taking place on Disney Plus this week include Clotilda: The Return Home. This is a documentary that focuses on the descendants of Cudjo Lewis and Gumpa Lee, survivors from the last American ship carrying Black slaves who try to fulfill their ancestors’ dreams of returning to their homeland while being accompanied by National Geographic Explorer Tara Roberts.
