Dick and Angel Strawbridge are starring in a new series (Image: Channel 4) The iconic Escape to the Chateau duo, Dick Strawbridge and Angel Adoree , have confessed that there were over "200 plus pages of reasons not to buy" their idyllic French property. Despite Channel 4 's announcement last year confirming their split from the pair following a review after many years of successful collaboration, viewers were thrilled to see them back on screens last night. This came amidst swirling accusations of 'bullying' by producers during filming.

However, Dick and Angel maintain that there are "two sides to every story". An alleged audio leak featured Angel reportedly hurling a "vulgar tirade" at one of the producers. Yet, they have once again graced Channel 4 with a brand-new series - Dick and Angel's Secret France.

Fans are once again welcomed to join them as they set out on an extraordinary quest beyond their famed home, which entertained viewers for years as they painstakingly rejuvenated a run-down French chateau. As the opening credits unfolded, the couple mused over the enormity of refurbishing their 45-room abode. Viewers saw Dick deftly manoeuvring through piles of paperwork, wandering around the dilapidated property as he remarked: "200 plus pages of reasons not to buy the house.
