Bongo sensation Diamond Platnumz recently shared the touching story behind his hit song ‘Komasava’. The track, brimming with infectious energy and cultural richness, has captivated audiences worldwide, swiftly crossing borders and gaining immense popularity. Diamond revealed that “Komasava” was written during the sacred 27th day of Ramadan, a time of deep spiritual significance for Muslims.

Recalling the moment, he said, “I was there with my producer, recording, and it was time to go for the Tahajjud prayer. The atmosphere of that day is very special for Muslims; when you pray, God grants your wishes. So, I prayed and then returned to the studio to continue recording.



” Reflecting on the song’s creation, Diamond emphasized his vision of unity and inclusivity. “When we were recording the song, we aimed to create something that transcends origins and backgrounds—a song that unites people. That’s why I included multiple languages like French, Swahili, Latin, and Zulu.

The accompanying dance challenge, which emerged as a symbol of joy and friendship in the aftermath of the pandemic, was designed to encourage community and celebration. Diamond noted, “The dance challenge was a way to bring people together and celebrate after the hardships of the pandemic.” Although the song is 4 minutes and 36 seconds long, Diamond disclosed that it took him nearly twenty minutes to finalize his verses.

While he continues to learn French, Diamond joked about his basic profic.
