BELLOWS FALLS — On Sunday, Deborahanne Mayer and Ben Mitchell will perform at Ciao Popolo in Bellows Falls. Songwriting duo, Mayer and Mitchell, the core of the local country band, Debbie and the Downers, will perform a selection of original songs, traditional country favorites and perhaps a delightful surprise or two. Mayer, known for her powerful vocals and deep connection to the traditional material, and local player Mitchell, featured regularly in the WRSI Singer Songwriter Contest, have collaborated for the past decade on Debbie and the Downers, headlining venues such as Brattleboro's "Strolling of the Heifers" and the Topsfield Fair.
Honoring Father's Day, this show presents an opportunity to hear the intimate kernel at the core of the Downers. This event runs from 4 to 6:30 p.m.
