Danny Dyer vowed he will “never” appear on Strictly Come Dancing despite being asked to take part every year. The 46-year-old former EastEnders star has appeared in a variety of TV shows and films over the years, and is best known for playing loveable rogue Mick Carter on the BBC soap. However, despite his impressive CV, Danny has admitted there is one show he would never do, and even revealed he’s been approached every year to sign up.

“I get offered to do Strictly every year, and it's not for me. I've got no desire to be mincing around in sequins,” he joked. He told The Sun that BBC bosses have asked him to take part on the star-studded dancing show every year, but he’s refused their offers as he’s still looking for his “ultimate role” following his departure from EastEnders after nine years playing Mick.



Since leaving Albert Square, Danny has appeared in Sky Max comedy Mr Bigstuff, as well as the Football Factory sequel, and the upcoming Disney+ series Rivals, which is based on Jilly Cooper’s ‘bonkbuster’ novel. Danny admitted his dream role would be “a cockney James Bond”, and said he would love to play iconic TV characters but give them his own spin. “The obvious role I'd love to play is James Bond, you know, a cockney Bond.

Or I would like to maybe have a go at Doctor Who , something that's been played by many different actors before and put my own spin on it, my own take on it," he added. The actor said it was an “ambitious” move for h.
