Matthew Perry’s Friends co-star Courteney Cox says she is “visited a lot” by her late friend, to whom she was close on and off the screen. The actor and comedian, who played Chandler Bing on the hit sitcom, died aged 54 on October 28 from drowning, coronary artery disease and the effects of buprenorphine and ketamine. Six months on from Perry’s sudden death, Cox said he still played a role in her life, “sensing” him around her. “I’m so thankful I got to work so closely with him for so many years.



He visits me a lot, if we believe in that,” she told CBS’ Sunday Morning. “I talk to my mum, my dad, Matthew. I feel like there are a lot of people that, I think, guide us.

“I do sense — I sense Matthew’s around for sure.” She added her late friend was “so funny and had a genuinely huge heart,” before affirming that “obviously he struggled”. Following Perry’s death in October, Cox shared a memorable scene from Friends followed by the extended behind-the-scenes outtake.
