In upcoming episodes, Bobby Crawford uses Stu Carpenter's birthday drinks to apologise to Ken Barlow for getting son, Daniel Osbourne, into trouble. However, it's not long until Bobby notices that Ken is unsteady on his feet and the latter heads home as he admits to not feeling too well. Later, a concerned Bobby knocks on Ken's door to check on him but when there’s no reply, he peers through the letterbox and is shocked to see Ken lying at the bottom of the stairs.
It's not long until Bobby calls an ambulance and Ken is rushed to hospital. Later in the week, Daniel and Steve McDonald visit Ken who is dismayed to discover he will need round the clock care whilst he recovers. Coronation Street sp.
