Coronation Street 's Roscoe will betray new pal Roy Cropper on Wednesday night, as his real intentions are exposed. The newcomer teams up with Griff in prison amid a shocking plan to kill Roy. Roy could be killed off after decades on the soap, as scenes lead to a terrifying showdown in his cell.

A new preview clip for the episode airing on Wednesday night confirms Roscoe has formed a plan with Griff, and he's been working on it for a while. It seems Roscoe has been lying to Roy all along, secretly working for Griff and plotting to help Griff get to him. Despite playing chess with him and paying him visits, claiming to be on his side with no real motive, it seems Roscoe has, albeit unwillingly, been against Roy from the start.



He tells Griff in a preview clip that he's been trying to lure Roy to the canteen in the prison for ages, with it clear this was an order from Griff. Griff clearly hoped to get Roy out of his cell and to the main area of the prison to kill him. But with Roy fearful amid him wrongly imprisoned for the murder of Lauren Bolton, he has not left his area meaning Griff has not bee able to reach him.
