Welcome to Seven in Seven, where each week in this space we’ll be taking a look at shows coming to the region over the next week. As always, whether your musical tastes are rock ’n’ roll, jazz, heavy metal, R&B, singer-songwriter or indie, there will always be something to check out. Here are seven of the best on the docket for the week of June 7: John Fogerty + George Thorogood — Friday at Freedom Mortgage Pavilion and Saturday at The Pavilion at Montage Mountain Ever since he acquired a majority interest of the worldwide publishing rights to the catalog of Creedence Clearwater Revival at the start of last year, John Fogerty has had every reason to celebrate.
That’s the reason why “The Celebration Tour” continues to roll on, with two regional dates where the irascible frontman will be breaking out all the CCR hits. As a bonus, along for the ride is Delaware native George Thorogood, who is observing his own milestone: 50 years of rock ’n’ roll. The homefield advantage might fall in favor of Lonesome George across the river in Camden and up Route 476 in Scranton, but it’ll be an unforgettable night of hits from both legendary artists.
The Dead Daisies — Saturday at Mickey’s Black Box Hard rock supergroup The Dead Daisies returned last month with a new song, “Light ’Em Up.” Recorded in Nashville with renowned producer Marti Frederiksen, the track is the band’s first new single since 2022 and the first with singer — and Philadelphia’s own — .
