KUWAIT CITY, July 14: Municipal Council member Fahd Al-Abduljader has expressed concerns to the Minister of Social Affairs and Labor, and Minister of Youth, Dr. Amthal Al-Huwailah, regarding the proliferation of commercial stores in private housing areas. These stores, often part of sports clubs, federations, and public benefit associations, are causing significant inconvenience to residents due to the lack of regulation on commercial percentages.

In a press statement following his meeting with Minister Al-Huwailah, Al-Abduljader emphasized that the minister showed great interest in the issues presented. The crux of the problem lies in the unregulated commercial activities within private housing zones, which often overshadow the primary purposes of clubs and public benefit associations. Al-Abduljader stressed that it is unacceptable for the majority of the space within a public benefit association to be devoted to commercial activities rather than the intended social or community purposes.

The meeting highlighted the specific suffering of residents in Kaifan, Adailiya, and Mansouriya. Al-Abduljader noted that Minister Al-Huwailah demonstrated a clear understanding of the impact caused by the lack of regulation. She promised to review the existing regulations, consider the suggestions presented, and take necessary measures to define the percentages and nature of commercial activities within these organizations.

Al-Abduljader expressed gratitud.
