Christine Lampard was met with a common mishap on live TV as she let Ellie Simmonds take charge for a brief moment. The Lorraine host was back on our screens this Friday, June 7, after appearing on Loose Women on Thursday to speak to her real-life husband Frank Lampard ahead of Soccer Aid. But while stars in the likes of Bobby Brazier , Martin Compston , Tommy Fury and Roman Kemp are training in Hertfordshire for Sunday's (June 9) challenge, Ellie set off to Murrayfield Stadium in Edinburgh where Taylor Swift fans had gathered for the first set of the star's three-month long tour.
Unfortunately, Ellie was unable to finish off her segment the way she wanted to as noises from the keen crowd behind her made it impossible for her to be heard and her microphone wasn't enough to fix the issue. "You're ready for it!", Christine first said as she let Ellie take charge. The former Paralympian swimmer enthusiastically chatted to the camera, frantically gesturing without almost any sound as only chunks of her words could be heard.
After a painful few seconds, Christine spoke up from the studio as she said: "Do you know what Ellie? I can't hear you as clearly as I want to", before stressing: "and I want to." The presenter announced that Ellie's segment would have to wait but, thankfully, things went back to normal later on in the daytime show as the correspondent was able to chat with fans and found out they had been queuing up for Taylor Swift's gig since 5am. Taylor Swift, who blindsid.
