BLUE Bloods fans will have to wait a while for anything related to the series. The drama series was canceled in November 2023 after 14 seasons. Paramount Global co-CEO Brian Robbins said last month, "In TV, new franchise extensions are coming for Dexter, Billions, and Blue Bloods.
" This caused spinoff rumors, but now CBS has an update for fans. “We don’t have anything that’s going to be in development soon, but it’s a brand, a title and a show that is beloved," CBS Studios president David Stapf told Deadline on July 11. “We’ve got to get it right, so we’re taking our time and trying to figure it out, ‘OK, what is the next iteration of Blue Bloods?'” Despite Blue Bloods being canceled, the final eight episodes will air this fall through December.
“We have a whole season to go where we intend to celebrate it all season long...
so there’s still time for us to figure that out," David went on. CBS announced that Blue Bloods was ending on November 20, 2023. Deadline was the first to report the news.
Tom Selleck leads the drama and has for the past 14 seasons. The final season consists of 18 episodes. When it ends this fall, Blue Bloods will have totaled 293 episodes.
The new episodes will also simultaneously stream live on Paramount+. Along with Tom, 79, Blue Bloods also stars Donnie Wahlberg, Will Estes, Bridget Moynahan, and Vanessa Ray. The show follows the Reagans, who are a multi-generational family of New York City police officers.
We don’t have anythi.
