Former Cameron Boyce former co-stars have honored the talented late actor on what - who was well-known for his iconic performances on the Disney Channel series Jessie and the Descendants franchise - passed away at just 20 years old in July of 2019. The star tragically died in his sleep after suffering from a seizure after previously being diagnosed with epilepsy. And now, five years later, his former co-stars, family members, and friends are still keeping his legacy alive as they paid loving tributes to him on his birthday.

On May 28th, Cameron's former Descendants actress Sofia Carson gave a loving shoutout as she posted a black-and-white photo of him gliding through the air in ballet shoes onto her . In the birthday post, she sweetly wrote: "Happy Birthday to our Angel. I know you’re dancing in heaven.



And god are they lucky to have you. Ps. I miss your smile and sunshine a whole lot extra today.

Adore you forever my Cam. Forever and ever. And ever.

" Sofia also posted a link to the on her Instagram Story to help raise money for his family's charitable foundation. The star's family launched the website weeks after the actor's death in an effort to help cure epilepsy through funding research, education, and awareness. Actress Sarah Jeffery, who starred alongside Cameron on the hit series Jessie, also shared an Instagram post sharing a black-and-white over-exposed snap of the pair embracing in a hug as well as a separate post with a heartfelt poem dedicated to Cameron and hi.
