Britain’s Got Talent has got in the way of Innocent Masuku's wedding planning - but he says he hasn't been left in the dog house. The South African operatic tenor stormed to success during Monday's tense semi-final with the judging panel being won over by the Sslaubi Performance Troupe while the public vote pushed Innocent straight to the final. The pair had competed against Sven Smith, The Trickstars, Trey Braine, Taryn Charles, Bikoon and Stardust.
He wants to claim glory for his country for the first time on the programme and is putting aside something rather important for it. The 33-year-old is preparing for his wedding day after booking himself another very important date - a place in Sunday's grand final where he will compete for a mega prize. Now he is juggling a lot and told Metro.
co.uk "She did most of the things and just kept me in the loop in terms of 'We are going to this venue – do you like it?' It was easy in that sense because she was able to deal with wedding preparations mostly and then I focussed on preparing for the audition." He is hoping it's a double celebration with a huge few months ahead ( Image: Dymond/Thames/REX/Shutterstock) His hopes have been dashed twice before and now he is looking to make up for lost time.
He went on: "The first time I could not [audition] because I was still a student so that didn’t work out – I think that was 2019. Then the following year the dates did not line up but finally last year things worked out." Judges Simo.
