SPRUCING up your garden with a brand new decking can often cost thousands of pounds if professionals are involved. So it's little surprise one savvy woman has been flooded with praise after revealing how she did it herself on a budget - using freebies from Facebook Marketplace and bargain buys from the likes of Poundland and B&M. In a clip posted to TikTok ( @teri_dewani2013 ), the clever social media user named Teri explained how she thought about getting decking, but figured it's so much work to clean every year.

Instead, she opted for decking tiles - and hasn't looked back since. And luckily for delighted DIY fans, Teri then shared exactly how she made the super stylish new decking area on the cheap. She begins by explaining that the first step was to dig and add a weed control sheet which she managed to snap up for just £9.
