Sipo Records has released the 'Buck Toe' rhythm featuring dancehall icons such as Bounty Killer, Beenie Man, Cham, and the late Merciless. The rhythm also hosts several other acts, such as Vershon, Wilful Skilful, and Iyara. Dubbed the 'rhythm for the summer', Bounty Killer's Life a Di Party is making waves at prominent Kingston events such as Uptown Mondays, Weddy Weddy Wednesdays, Alliance Month End Fridays and Boom Sundays.
Dancer Shelly Belly also built a signature dance for the single which can be seen making its rounds on social media. "This is the rhythm for the summer and possibly Christmas too. I have worked with these icons for years and any rhythm they touch is always iconic, so I was not surprised when Killer's track started to gain so much traction.
Additionally, Merciless has been a friend of mine for years, so I had to pay homage by putting out his music and celebrating the great talent he is," said the producer Sipo. Life a Di Party did so well that it was recently reviewed by Foota Hype. Sipo added, "Foota Hype gave the song a thumbs up and Bounty Killer reposted the review video; this is a step in the right direction.
I also received massive support from [selectors] Boom Boom and Harry Hype in promoting and endorsing the overall rhythm. All the songs on the rhythm have some success and have been gaining airplay here in Jamaica and in several states in North America, and in Canada. I am eager to see the support that it continues to get as the summer approache.
